What we collect, why we have it, and who it goes to. Written to be read rather than to cover us.

Who we are

MoOps is a phone answering service for trades businesses, operated by Mogility LLC in Florida. When you call a business that uses MoOps, you are speaking to an automated assistant that answers on their behalf.

What we collect

From business owners who sign up: business name, contact name, phone number, email address, service address, business hours, and the payment details needed to run a subscription. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our systems.

From people who call a MoOps-answered line: the phone number you are calling from, your name, the service address for the job, a description of the work, and a recording and transcript of the call.

Calls are recorded

Every call answered by MoOps opens with a spoken notice that the call is recorded and answered by an automated assistant, before anything else happens. Florida requires the consent of all parties to record, and that notice is how consent is given. If you do not want to be recorded, hang up and call the business back on a line they answer themselves.

Calls flagged as personal rather than business are never recorded or transcribed, and any recording of them is discarded rather than stored.

Text messages

Consumer information is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not sell, rent, or trade phone numbers or SMS opt-in data to anyone, ever.

Phone numbers collected for text messaging are used only to send messages about the appointment or service you asked about: confirmations, changes, an approval request to the business owner, or an urgent safety notice. They are not used for marketing, and they are not passed to anyone else for marketing.

How often depends on how many calls your line receives. Most people get one or two messages per appointment, and a busy business owner a handful a day.

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

Who we share information with

The business you called. That is the point of the service: the name, number, address and job description you give go to the contractor so they can do the work.

Service providers who make the product function, and only for that purpose: Twilio for telephony and messaging, Retell for the voice assistant, Google for calendar and address validation, Stripe for payments, Render for hosting and data storage, and Netlify for the website and the early-access form. Each is bound to use the information only to provide their service to us.

Nobody else. We do not share or sell consumer information to third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

Call recordings and transcripts are deleted 90 days after the call. Until then a business owner can look back at what was said on a job, and can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.

Everything else about a call, including who rang and when and what was booked, is kept while the business remains a customer, because it is the record of their own work.

If you called a MoOps-answered line and want your information removed, email support@moopsanswers.com from any address or write to us, and tell us the number you called from.

Your choices

You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@moopsanswers.com. We answer these ourselves; there is no ticket queue.

Children

MoOps is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Cookies and browser storage

The website itself sets no cookies. The product dashboard uses two functional cookies and the signup form uses local storage, all described in the cookie policy at https://moopsanswers.com/cookies.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your information, we will say so on this page and update the date at the top. We will not quietly broaden it.
